14K GOLD AUSTRALIAN PIPE OPAL RING- SZ 7

Australian Pipe opals have always been one of my all-time favorite stones. Each piece is so unique and special. These particular stones have phenomenal play of color. Many of the images show this ring in the shade. The opals are very bright and flash even in poor lighting. The main larger stone has very strong red flash, which is the rarest color in opal! The simple setting showcases the opals beautifully and it's a very comfy and easy to wear ring.

Boulder Pipe Crystal Opal is found in the Central Queensland opal fields in Australia. As the name suggests it is opal formed in a pipe or tubular formation. These roundish tubes are formed in host rock, which is mostly sandstone. The sand stone potch enhances the natural fire color in this crystal opals. Most pipe opal is green to blue fire colors but some have sunset bright fire opal colors but this is rare.

This setting was first sculpted from scratch out of wax and then cast in recycled solid 14k gold]. It is size US 7 and one of a kind!
